This piece took me about 10 weeks to complete. I think the subject of old buildings, cars, and human-made things is overdone, but to me this image seems more than that. The only new thing in good condition in this image is the flag. The image runs parallel to the state of my country right now. It seems the structure is in disarray and our attention is being redirected to the flag. I often find myself depressed about how off course my country has gone within the past 7 years. It has so much promise.
